Although left unfinished at the time of his death in 1983, the series was later reconstructed from exhibition prints, magazine publications, and archival material, offering a poignant meditation on childhood, memory, and the passing of time.

Edited by Tsuda Motoki and Miura Kazuto, this first edition also includes a pamphlet from the accompanying exhibition, making it one of the most complete publications devoted to this body of work.
